Extra-curricular activities are an essential part of life at St Helen and St Katharine. Some are an extension of classroom learning, while many others offer opportunities to stretch creative, physical or intellectual muscles in new ways.  The time commitment required also varies: some activities take place for 30 minutes per week at lunchtimes, while others meet after school and at some weekends. The range of choices reflects our understanding that individual interests vary greatly and probably don't fit into a single category: a typical week might include Italian Cinema Club on Mondays, Jewellery making on Wednesdays and Debating Society on Fridays.  The following term you might take up Tai Chi, Classics Club and Knitchicks or carry on as before - the choice is yours.  Clubs and activities are often offered across the school and thus, provide the opportunity to make friends with girls from different year groups.  They can be challenging or relaxing -  artistic, scientific, or literary and definitely fun.  We view clubs and activities as an exciting and enriching part of each day and encourage everyone to take part.

The following is a list of some of the clubs on offer throughout the year at St Helen's:

  • Junior Italian Cinema Club
