This programme offers girls, in the first year of the Sixth Form, the chance to work directly with people in the local community. We have long-standing links with various associations and schools in Abingdon and a placement in one of these can involve working for the benefit of children with multiple disabilities, the elderly, and needy.
The work requires the year-long commitment of a double lesson, with a break for public exams in the Trinity Term, and can be recognised for the service section of the Duke of Edinburgh's Award.
Girls find their period of service rewarding and fulfilling with a strong sense of personal acheivement
