'The School of St Helen and St Katharine is not exclusive and must never become so'

The gift of education is a lasting gift. In the past St Helen’s pupils have benefited from the School having Direct Grant status and more recently the Assisted Places Scheme. Both have now long gone and we are now turning to you, as friends of St Helen’s, to help us secure the diversity of St Helen’s life that previous generations were able to take for granted.

Diversity has always been one of the great strengths of the School, giving it breadth and richness. Our aim is to increase access to St Helen’s by funding free places for those for whom the fees would be an impossible burden. The Foundation has already been able to help. Two pupils are currently receiving Foundation Awards that pay for all their fees, uniform and travel.

The amount we receive from friends of the School will determine how many children can be offered bursaries. Please support us in our aim to help more children benefit from an education at St Helen’s – just click on ‘how you can help’ and download the form, or contact our Foundation Officer, Mrs Vanessa Hammond on 01235 532012 or vhammond@shsk.org.uk to find out more.

Thank you for your support.
