St Helen and St Katharine Foundation (Charity Number:  1090084)

making a bequest

Naturally, when writing your will your first consideration is to take care of family and friends, and you may not have considered including a legacy to the School.  However, making a bequest is one of the simplest and most effective ways of supporting St Helen and St Katharine.  Not only can a legacy reduce or eliminate Inheritance Tax, it is also a wonderful opportunity to do more than might have been possible in your lifetime. The Foundation is a registered charity and therefore, all bequests are exempt from Inheritance Tax.  This means that a legacy to the School can be deducted from the value of your estate, thus reducing its liability to the Tax.  The wishes of our benefactors are clearly paramount and we would be very happy to discuss your proposed legacy with you.  Please contact Mrs Vanessa Hammond.vhammond @shsk.org.uk  or 01235 532012. The confidential pledge form gives you the option of making a bequest to either the General Fund (so that the gift will be used where it is most needed) or specifically to the Bursary Fund.
