The St Helen and St Katharine Foundation works hand in hand with the SHSK Society.
The Foundation works with the SHSK Society to raise the profile of St Helen’s amongst all its friends both past and present, and to create a culture of philanthropy that can support the School. It helps the school by raising funds and safeguarding the endowment. The funds are held separately from the school, and are under the care of a body of trustees drawn from former pupils, current parents and governors.

With the help of our parents, old girls and all the friends of the School, the Foundation can make a difference to all areas of school life – whether it is for major capital expenditure or helping to fund places for children who could otherwise not afford to attend St Helen’s.

The Foundation had two initial priorities: the Performing Arts Centre and the Bursary Fund. The Performing Arts Centre Fund was successfully completed in June 2008 when we reached the target of £250,000 towards a total of £4 million for the Performing Arts Centre. Our thanks go to everyone who contributed to this exciting project.

Meanwhile the Bursary Fund, the aim of which is to provide free places for pupils at St Helen’s, remains our top fundraising priority.
