Last week’s Chamber Music concert was a brilliant celebration of some of the many music groups that work hard each week preparing a wide range of repertoire. Lots of these ensembles will be going on to perform in the Oxford Music Festival and the Pro Corda competition. The concert was a chance for students from the Junior Department to Upper Sixth to perform a varied programme from Mozart to Gershwin. There was also a vast array of different types of groups, composed of an interesting mix of instruments. The concert showed duets, trios, quartets and quintets, featuring clarinets, flutes, violins, harps, horn and even the guitar. Overall, the concert was at an extremely high standard and thoroughly enjoyed by all who came. We look forward to more splendid music making from all these groups in the future.
