The senior lacrosse players departed in the Easter holidays for 12 days full of matches, sightseeing and spending time with host families. The trip began in Washington and ended with a final stop off in New York, visiting Georgetown, Philidelphia and Long Island on route. Sightseeing highlights included the Lincoln Memorial, Baltimore Aquarium, the Lacrosse Wall of Fame, 9/11 Memorial Museum, Top of the Rock and Liberty Island. Whilst staying with the host families throughout the tour, everyone thoroughly enjoyed the insight into American culture and the opportunity to make friends with the girls from our host schools. Despite only winning one match, the tough competition really helped us to draw together as a team to focus on the areas of our game we could improve on during and after the trip.
We would like to say a big thank you to Mrs Keogh for all her hard work to organise this amazing trip. Bring on next season!
