Welcome from the Admissions team

Welcome to St Helen and St Katharine. We are delighted that you are considering us for your daughter’s education.

Choosing the right school for your daughter can be one of the most important decisions you will make, and whether you are familiar with independent education or considering it for the first time, the Admissions team is here to help to advise and guide you through the process. Headmistress’ Breakfast

These are small open mornings, starting at 9.10am, where you will have the opportunity to hear Headmistress Mrs Dougall speak, take part in a question-and-answer session with members of senior staff and finally have a tour with one of our students. Parents are welcome to attend with or without their daughter.

Join us in Year 7 event

On Tuesday 7 May this event is for families considering St Helen and St Katharine for their daughter for Year 7 entry in 2025 and 2026.

Prospective students and their parents will have an exciting opportunity to tour the School and its outstanding facilities and to see our Year 7 and Year 8 lessons in action. There will also be a presentation from Headmistress Mrs Dougall and the Head of Lower School Mrs Taylor who will discuss life in Year 7, the curriculum, extracurricular activities and pastoral care – and how to apply for a place.

The event will run in the morning and again in the afternoon. Places for each time slot are limited and will be allocated on a first come first served basis. Please note, the morning session is now fully booked, with a waiting list in place. Please use the booking form below to book your place.

13+ Activities Afternoon

On Thursday 6 June we are inviting students in Year 6 who are considering St Helen’s for Year 9 in 2026, to our 13+ Activities Afternoon from 1.00pm to 4.00pm. Students will take part in a carousel of various fun activities, and parents are invited to join us for tea at the end of the afternoon and to hear all about the Year 9 curriculum at St Helen’s.

Junior Open Doors Afternoon

On Tuesday 11 June from 1.30pm to 3.45pm we will be holding our Junior Department Open Doors event where visitors can discover the joys of life in Years 5 and 6 at St Helen and St Katharine, see Juniors lessons in action and hear from the Headmistress Mrs Dougall and from the Heads of the Junior Department. Family visits

Ideally, your first visit to the School would be at our Open Day at least one year prior to entry. Following this, families are warmly welcome to visit us for an individual appointment. Your visit will include a tour of the School and a meeting with a member of the Admissions team. It may also include a meeting with Headmistress Mrs Dougall on request. Meetings with the Headmistress can also take place virtually.
