Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, there may be changes to some of the admission processes in order for us to be able to comply with current government guidelines. All registered candidates will be notified of these changes.
A registration form should be completed and returned to the Admissions Office with the appropriate fee. Once your daughter is registered you will automatically receive details about the entrance procedure. The deadline for registering for 2021 entry is Friday 16 October 2020, although late applications may be considered.
Registered candidates will have two interviews; one with the Headmistress and the second with both the Head of Sixth Form and Higher Education and the Deputy Headmistress. Candidates are also required to complete a verbal reasoning test. Interviews take place, by appointment, in November. Late applications are acceptable, subject to the availability of subjects to be studied. Interviews for late applicants take place in March.
Candidates will be informed of their conditional offer shortly following inteview. All offers require at least five 9-7 (A* to A) grades at (I)GCSE and a 9-7 or 9A* or A) in the subjects the candidate plans to study at A level. Letters confirming offers will be sent in late August, following receipt of (I)GCSE results.
After accepting a place girls are invited to the School on two occasions: one in June/July when they will have an afternoon of activities and a chance to meet their form and their form tutor, and one in September, the day before the beginning of term.
St Helen and St Katharine was founded on the desire to provide a broad, balanced and academically excellent education for its pupils, a goal to which we remain committed. Our Scholarship and Bursary provision has been established for many years and owes much to the assistance and generosity of benefactors and friends of the School, to whom we remain indebted. In 2012 our scholarship provision, which seeks to recognise and reward excellence, was extensively reviewed and extended and full details can be found on our Scholarships page.
